Don't scrimp on the wire. After installing the Polks, I was disappointed, but realized that it was a long run of wire (about 50 feet), and the wire that the previous owner of the house had installed was of a very thin guage.I rewired the speakers with 14 guage speaker wire and the difference was dramatic. I purchased these speakers for my backyard swimming pool area. The originals were old and worn out and sounded awful. The sound quality is outstanding for such small relatively inexpensive speakers.
The grill has the potential to get loose, but can be put back in with some glue on the ends. Awesome sound range from these speakers. Mountable, turnable, and good frequency range.
Delivery was fantastic as usual from Amazon and its vendors. Crisp highs and deep bass tones. I give it my highest recommendation. These speakers live up to previous favorable reviews. The quality and clarity of the sound they produce is astonishing. Using them to enhance my backyard listening pleasure.
do you have cover for them. thay work good in the location i installed them and look nice. so the sun will not fade them
When I found these I was impressed by the reviews and the cost plus FREE shipping.Even though I suspected they would be heavy I was caught by surprise when I received them-they are really heavy.As far as the sound goes I was surprised by the range (I played with them alot) and the crispness of the sound. I've been looking for a good price on brand name speakers for a couple of years. I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone.The only thing left to test is how they stand up to our 95 degree high humidity summers and -20 degree (-50 wind chill) winters in Minnesota.
